Trouble Downloading Mobpacks

Whenever I try to play special modpacks It gets to a point where it says," Please Wait," and then," DOWNLOADING PACKAGE LWJGL - PLATFORM-2.9.0-NATIVES-WINDOWS.Jar ...," then it stays like that for hours, the progress bar flashes from side to side though.

(the title should be Modpacks* not "mobpacks"
